The meeting of the genres was the main aspect in the first edition of the compilation of PulzArt contemporary arts festival program, which was organizes at 5-8 September in Sfântu Gheorghe (in Hungarian: Sepsiszentgyörgy). The organizers were: Sfântu Gheorghe Youth Council and the Town Hall of Sfântu Gheorghe/Sepsiszentgyörgy Municipality. The message of the festival was heard: productions were about the now, and the present, existed an interoperability between different cultural areas, participation, interaction. This festival was not about quantity, but quality presentation of contemporary artistic production in Transylvania, which rarely reach our region.

The PulzArt contemporary arts festival is the central event of the Sfântu Gheorghe Transylvanian Capital of Culture program, and is the meeting point of the four thematic years. 2013 is the Year of the Sound and Word, so the contemporary literature and music got a special place, with a number of productions that combines the two artistic genres.

•    Fine arts: Antik Sándor, Lakóca Alkotócsoport, Barabás Zsuzsa.
